How much does it cost to rent an e-scooter in Bansko?
Scoot Bansko charges €10 per day, capped at €49 once you reach a week. After the first week each extra day is €7, until the total reaches €129, which is the monthly price, and it stays €129 all the way to a month. Past a month, every further day is charged at the monthly daily rate of about €4.16. Booking longer is never more expensive: 5, 6 and 7 days all cost €49, and 8 days costs €56.
Do I need a driving licence to ride an e-scooter in Bansko?
No. You don't need a driving licence to ride an e-scooter in Bulgaria. You do need to follow the Bulgarian Road Traffic Act and local rules, ride solo (no passengers), and stay off snowy or icy roads. Scoot Bansko rents to adults aged 18 and over.
How old do I have to be to rent?
You must be 18 or older to rent from Scoot Bansko and sign the rental agreement yourself. There's no upper age limit, if you can ride safely, you're welcome.
What's included with the rental?
Every rental includes the e-scooter, a charger, and a lock. A helmet and a ski/snowboard carry sleeve are available as add-ons during booking. You charge the scooter yourself with the charger provided, a normal wall socket is all you need.
How do I book and pay?
Book online at scootbansko.com/booking: choose your dates, pick a scooter, sign the rental waiver electronically, then pay the full amount by card through Stripe. The whole process takes a few minutes and your scooter is reserved instantly, with a booking confirmation sent by email.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, cancellation is free with a full refund up to 14 days before pickup. Within 14 days of pickup the booking is firm, but if we manage to re-rent your scooter for those dates, we refund you what the re-rented days brought in. If we ever have to cancel on you, you get a full refund.
Do you deliver the scooter to my accommodation?
Yes. We bring the scooter to you anywhere in Bansko, or we arrange a pickup spot, the base is Cedar Lodge 1, Bansko. At handover you check the scooter over, take photos, and watch a short intro video covering riding, braking, locking and charging.
Can I ride in winter or carry skis?
You can rent year-round, but riding on snowy or icy roads isn't allowed for your safety. Skis or a snowboard may only be carried in the dedicated carry sleeve we provide and fit, never in your hands, and only if you can keep both hands on the bars and stay in control.
What happens if the scooter breaks down?
If anything stops working, brakes, lights, battery, tires, stop riding and tell us the same day via WhatsApp (+33 7 7576 4376). We fix or replace it free unless the damage was caused by misuse. Crash damage, drops and water damage are the renter's responsibility, shown with a repair invoice at local prices.
